Tom Cock got his start in broadcasting at a 10-watt high school radio station in Bellevue, Washington, in 1974, and never looked back. His career has included hosting Serious Money on PBS, owning a radio station, working as a DJ and newsreader, and interviewing everyone from Magic Johnson to Howard Schultz. It was broadcasting that introduced him to the world of personal finance — and to two lifelong friends, Paul Merriman and Don McDonald, after Tom brought The Business Radio Network to Seattle on KEZX.

A lifelong soccer player and coach, Tom still referees high school matches in Washington. He lives in Maltby with his wife Dawnelle and stays close to three children and three grandchildren who all live within fifteen minutes of home.
